Have been served by the owner and a younger man on several occasions. Both have been very welcoming and friendly in a genuine and intelligent way. Only had the chips which have always been freshly fried and delicious. Hear good things about the fish which I hope to try this weekend. I wish them continued success. Update: 20 September 2025 Had cod and chips tonight. Freshly cooked and very good. Really enjoyed it. Service very good as usual.

I had such a fantastic experience at this fish and chip shop! From the moment I walked in, the team made me feel so welcome — they are genuinely friendly and create such a lovely atmosphere. The fish and chips were absolutely worth the (very short) wait — perfectly fresh, crisp, and piping hot. I really appreciated that they apologised for the wait, but I was glad they cooked everything fresh rather than serving something sitting around. While I waited, they even offered me some lovely little freebies, which was such a thoughtful touch and made the experience even better. The presentation was great too — everything was carefully and neatly wrapped, showing real pride in their food. It’s those small details, along with the quality and freshness, that make this place stand out. A real gem — I’ll definitely be coming back and recommending it to everyone.

Wonderful smiles and service, the fish is soft, juicy and super crunchy on the outside, potato wedges are well seasoned and the chips are classics. Prices are great and just all around a great fish and chip shop.
